1. Customization & Refunds

Because each map is custom-generated based on your specific data and styling choices, we cannot offer refunds on printed posters once the order has been processed, unless the product arrives damaged. Please review your digital proof carefully before confirming your order.

If a shipment arrives visibly damaged, please contact us promptly with photos of the packaging and the print so we can review the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement. Digital access that has already been delivered remains non-refundable once the personalized asset has been generated.

2. Shipping & Delivery

We ship primarily within the EU (Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands). Estimated delivery times are 5-7 business days. Empire Mapper is not responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers, though we will assist in tracking your conquest.

Delivery windows are estimates rather than guarantees. Customs checks, carrier disruptions, seasonal demand, and address errors can affect timelines. You are responsible for providing accurate delivery details in your print request so we can route your order correctly.

3. Data Privacy (GDPR)

We take your data seriously. Address files uploaded for parsing are processed ephemerally by our AI and Geocoding providers. We do not sell your location data. Saved maps are stored securely linked to your account and can be deleted upon request.

Where Empire Mapper processes personal data on your behalf, the parties may rely on a separate Data Processing Agreement. For convenience, a downloadable DPA is available on this page. You remain responsible for ensuring that you have a valid legal basis to upload and use the client or location data you provide to the service.

4. Intellectual Property

The underlying map data is OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors). By creating a map, you are granted a non-exclusive license to display the artwork for personal or commercial office use. You may not resell the digital files generated by our service as stock assets.

You retain ownership of the business data, labels, and custom text you submit. We retain ownership of the Empire Mapper product, visual system, software, and workflow used to generate the final output, except where third-party data or licensing terms apply.

5. Print Quality

We guarantee a minimum resolution of 500 DPI for the generated file. However, slight color variations may occur between your screen (RGB) and the final print (CMYK) due to monitor calibration.

Minor differences in tone, contrast, and paper appearance can occur depending on printer settings, substrate, and ambient lighting. Large-format outputs may also evolve over time as the export pipeline improves, and availability of some formats can be limited while we stabilize production quality.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use Empire Mapper to upload unlawful data, infringing content, malicious files, or information that you are not authorized to process. We reserve the right to suspend or refuse service where use creates legal, operational, or security risk for the platform or for third parties.

Where a signed DPA or custom commercial terms are required, those documents should take precedence over this general page once agreed in writing.
